Kundapura : Present Governament has neglected the beedi workers demand of a better minimun wages and Government trying to dislodge the union of beedi workers , this was stated by K Shankar the president of Beedi Federation , he was addresing the striking state bidi workers union.

Also he said that the commission of Rs 6.90 for thousand bidis was insufficient, considering the expenses they had to bear and he pointed out that commission has decided to give the Rs 116.20 commission but BJP governament under the pressure from beedi owner is not implementing the commission recomandations.

Mahabala Vaderahobali, Balkis Banu, K Sharda, Suresh kallagar Das Bhandari participated in the protest.
